My husband and I aren't big on ceremonies. Our wedding was an uncomfortable affair because we both hate being the focus of attention. Holidays therefore usually slip by without much fanfare save one. We mark the day of our wedding every month with a monthiversary consisting of a simple night out. The only rule is that the restaurant must be different each time, a rule that is enforced by my super-organized husband with an Excel spreadsheet. It's fun, it's casual, it gives us an excuse to eat out occasionally, and it allows us to (dare I say it?) celebrate our love.
