In thinking back on fashion that gave me confidence, it seems it was often rooted in my shoes. I loved having colorful shoes. In elementary I wore ked-style shoes in pink satin until they were no loner pink and my big toes stuck out. Purple ballet flats that made me look like I had skis for feet were frequently worn in junior high. In high school my favorites were some buckled suede shoes in an unusual slate blue. My current favs are orange clogs. I guess it is no wonder my design portfolio favors socks!
