Angela Hahn

I remember plenty of, um, special clothing items (fake fur vest, striped velvet pants, polyester double-knit jumpsuit), but the first one I can remember helping me look my best was a two-piece dress I sewed for my high school prom, using a turquoise-colored cotton fabric shot with gold threads. I designed it myself: the top was sleeveless, and the skirt was wide and swirly, assembled in bias sections with gold piping along the seams. I liked it so much that I wore it again, to Studio 54 in NYC during my first year in college!
