Twist Collective asked our contributors to tell us the first outfit that they remember thinking about as looking their best. Click on their pictures below for their answers, and for the links to their individual websites.
I remember plenty of, um, special clothing items (fake fur vest, striped velvet pants, polyester double-knit jumpsuit), but the first one I can remember helping me look my best was a two-piece dress I sewed for my high school prom, using a turquoise-colored cotton fabric shot with gold threads. I designed it myself: the top was sleeveless, and the skirt was wide and swirly, assembled in bias sections with gold piping along the seams. I liked it so much that I wore it again, to Studio 54 in NYC during my first year in college!http://www.knititude.com/
