Fiona Ellis

My current yoga instructor inspires me to see the poses I previously considered impossible are attainable. With gentle words she has guided me to be able to do Crow—an impressive-looking arm balance. There is a moment at which you lift your feet from the floor and balance your body weight on your lower arms and wrists. It is not about strength but about finding the perfect spot of balance, and once you do your feet simply float up. It’s like learning to ride a bike—once you have it, you have it for life. It has taught me that anything is possible with practice and patience . . . just like with knitting!
