Our home is a 160-year-old stone house. It’s small but enchanting, and we fell in love with it the moment we saw it. We’d never leave if we didn’t have to. Why would we go somewhere when we can stay HERE?! So if we have a little extra to splurge with, home is where it goes. Past splurges—a radiant-heated stone floor in the "conservatory," a contorted filbert tree, French windows for the Juliet balcony. Future splurges—digging my fishing pond, or a slate rooflet above the back door, or bricks for the courtyard. There are so many possibilities.
