I recently visited Taliesin West, the school, workspace, and living quarters designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright in the Arizona desert. This was a revelation. I had known that Wright was a celebrated architect, but until I experienced the environment he created I didn’t appreciate his ability to manipulate space, light, and even the air in a breezeway.
