While trying to think of a clever answer, I asked a friend what she had learned recently. She informed me that baby corn is, seriously, just really young corn. This is actually true, at least according to Washington State University. In a larger sense, I learned how useful it can be to start a conversation when you’re feeling stumped. Plus, you know, the thing about the corn.
