Twist Style Friday: Facet

Every Friday we feature one of the garments from the magazine in a post about styling. We suggest different ways to wear the garment in question using mock-ups from Polyvore. We encourage readers to tell us what they think about these outfits via our Facebook page or Twitter, and if folks want to make their own outfits, please tweet them at us with the hashtag #twiststyle. You can find all of the Style Friday posts here.

It's Friday! And it's sunny out! My apartment hunting project is going pretty well, but until I actually move in to my new place, I am still sleeping in the spare rooms and on the couches of my most generous friends. The folks I'm staying with this week are the cutest little family; one of my oldest friends, Alysse, her muppety husband (don't worry, that's a compliment), and an 11 month old named Arthur Ellis whose cheeks basically require their own area code. If you're an avid and longtime Style Friday reader, you may remember him from this post. He is bigger now, and he definitely grew out of the little preemie sweaters I made him when he was freshly baked.

Speaking of sweaters, let's take a gander at this week's feature. Facet is a pretty hip length top with bracelet sleeves and a unique cutout yoke! It's a great way to build a little air conditioning into your outfit. Wear sunscreen though, okay?

This top could be super dramatic in a dark, rich color, and versatile and casual in a bright or neutral. Let's take a closer look at that yoke.

Me, I would do what I almost always do with sweater patterns, which is crop it at the waist and wear it over dresses with full skirts, or as a crop top with high waisted pencil skirts. That's my jam these days. I do, however, think the length is quite fetching, and makes it a versatile piece. Here are some more ideas:
