Needles & Notions:
Size 9 US / 5.5 mm circular needle, 32" / 80 cm long or longer

Stitch markers, stitch holders, waste yarn, tapestry needle, five buttons 1 ¼" / 35 mm diameter, suede or leather elbow patches (sample used Dritz Suede Cowhide Elbow Patches in Dark Brown, 4 ¾" x 6 ¼"), sewing thread

Gauge:
18 sts and 26 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Broken Rib stitch
18 sts and 24 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch

Construction Notes: Shawl collar cardigan with patch pockets and applied elbow patches. The body is worked from the bottom up in one piece to the armholes, then back and fronts are separated and worked to the shoulders. Sleeves are worked flat and sewn in place. Front bands and collar are worked from stitches picked up at the edges.
