This crescent shaped shawl is worked from the deep ruffled border up to the neck edge, shaped with short rows along the way, and finished with an i-cord bind-off. Optional beads provide sparkle. The cable pattern is given in chart form only.

The beads used in the sample are Magatama style seed beads. These are oval beads with an off center hole. They stand away from the surface of the knitting, catching more light and providing lots of sparkle. Standard round seed beads may be used instead.
16 sts and 30 rows = 4" / 10 cm in reverse Stockinette stitch, after blocking
