The shawl begins at the inner edge, is shaped with garter stitch short rows, and ends with with a wide border of leaf-shaped cables and bobbles. The scarf begins in the center with a provisional cast-on and is worked outward toward the border at each end. The stitch patterns are given in chart form only.
