The body of this cardigan is worked from the bottom up in one piece, then divided for fronts and back, which are joined at the shoulders using a 3-needle bind-off. The sleeves are picked up from the armholes and worked down to the cuffs, with short-row shaping to shape the caps. The pocket fronts are worked at the same time as the body, and the linings are worked separately, then sewn to the fronts. The cardigan features waist shaping and a collar that is shaped with short rows, joined at the center back neck, then sewn in place. The cable patterns are given in chart form only.
