This cardigan is worked in two simple pieces, the long, wide collar, and the back. The T-shaped back is worked from the top down, with stitches bound off at the end of the upper back. The corners of the upper back are folded in to create sleeves, and then pinned together. Then the collar is sewn along the edges of the back and sleeves to form the fronts and back neck of the cardigan. The back is worked in Stockinette stitch, and the collar is worked in Stockinette stitch and a garter stitch pattern. The garter stitch pattern is given in chart form only.
