The shawl is worked from the top down, and is shaped by working an increase at both ends of every row. Once the body of the shawl is complete, stitches are cast on for the border, which is worked across the bottom edge. The stitch patterns are presented in chart form only.

5 skeins Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport (200 yd / 183 m per 2 oz / 56 g skein; 100% Superwash Merino Wool) in Sage

Needles & Notions:
Size US 5 / 3.75 mm circular needle, 32" / 80 cm long or longer

Stitch markers, cable needle, blocking wires and/or T-pins, tapestry needle

Gauge:
19 sts and 32 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Body Pattern
20 sts and 28 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch
Correct gauge is not critical for this project, but your final measurements and yardage requirements may vary if your gauge is different.
