The Hat, Cowl, and Mittens in this set are each made up of an under-layer and a lace over-layer. First the under-layer is worked from the bottom up, then stitches for the over-layer are picked up and worked from the bottom up. The lace patterns are presented in chart form only.

For the entire set as pictured, 3 balls of Plymouth Yarn Galway Worsted and 1 skein Plymouth Yarn Suri Alpaca Merino Glow are sufficient.
The larger Hat or Mittens in combination with the larger Cowl will require a fourth ball of Plymouth Yarn Galway Worsted.
