Gauge: 28 sts and 40 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch before stuffing; 24 sts and 44 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Seed stitch
Construction Notes: Each doll is knit in the round beginning at the top of the helmet. The helmet, head and tunic are knit as one piece, with arm stitches put on hold along the way. Stitches are picked up beneath the tunic for the legs and shoes. The arms and hands are worked from the reserved stitches. Belt tabs, helmet horns and weapons are knit separately then sewn in place. Capes are knit separately and tied around the neck. Hair, faces and clothing details are embroidered. |
