Construction Notes: The sweater begins with the cabled sleeve and upper body section, which is worked flat beginning at the left cuff and extending across the body to the right cuff. Stitches are cast on at the top of the left sleeve for the chest section, the cables divide in the center for the neck, then stitches are bound off at the top of the right sleeve. The cable patterns are given in chart form only. The lower body is worked in the round in a wide ribbing pattern from stitches picked up along the edge of the cabled section. The cowl collar is worked in the round from stitches picked up along the neckline. |
