Construction Notes: The hat is worked in the round with double pointed and circular needles. It begins with the ribbed band worked with the lighter weight yarn doubled. The main body of the hat is worked in Stockinette st with the heavier yarn. Stitches are then picked up along the top of the ribbing and the lighter weight yarn is used to knit the lace portion of the hat. The lace pattern is presented in row-by-row instructions only; no charts. Blocking the hat gently fuses the layers together. |
