• circular needle 16” / 40 cm long
• circular needle 24” / 60 cm long
• set of five double-pointed needles
Size 13 / 0.85 mm steel crochet hook; 468 (468, 552, 552, 552, 636) size 6/0 seed beads, foil-lined violet (approx 40 grams) [Add 52 (52, 52, 56, 60, 60) beads for optional beaded picot bind off if desired.]; spare circular knitting needle one size smaller than project needles for 3-needle BO and for use as stitch holders; stitch markers; smooth cotton waste yarn; tapestry needle

Gauge: 18 sts and 20 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch

Construction Notes: This sweater is worked in one piece in the round from the bottom up. The body begins with a wide band of beaded lace, then continues in Stockinette st to the armholes. The sleeves also start with lace, and are worked to the armholes. The pieces are joined and the yoke is worked with concentric decreases to the neckline. The cowl is worked in beaded lace and joined to the neck with a 3-needle bind-off. Beads are placed with the crochet hook method. The lace pattern is presented in charts only.
