16 and 32" / 40 and 80 cm long, and set of five double-pointed needles
Size 6 US / 4.0 mm set of 2 double-pointed needles
Cable needle, four split ring markers or coil-
less pins, two stitch markers, 4 (4, 5, 5, 6)
buttons 7/8" / 22 mm diameter, yarn needle
Gauge:
20 ½ sts and 26 ¾ rows = 4" / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch using larger needles
24 ¾ sts and 30 rows = 4" / 10 cm in Yoke Cable pattern using larger needles
Construction Notes: This cardigan begins with the cabled yoke, which is worked from side to side and sewn at the shoulders. The body is worked down from stitched picked up at the edge of the yoke. Sleeves are worked down from stitches picked up at the armholes. Edges are finished with an unusual twisted cord border. The cable pattern is given in chart form only. |
