What is the best thing I’ve ever brought home from my travels? My recent collection of chullus from Peru. I can stare at them for hours, they make me continually happy... I try and find the corded join, I look for the clever ways the knitter deals with the wrong number of stitches for a total repeat, I count how many colors are in a round, I compare lovely faded exteriors with the secret brightness inside, the colors the knitter chose, I’m thrilled by the different tassel construction, and never tire of the intricacy of the various earflaps. This collection equals instant happiness!
