About 10 years ago my family and I went on vacation one winter to Big Bear (our most wintry place here in Southern California). We stumbled across a Siberian Husky breeder who happened to have one precious girl puppy left from her last litter. We thought she would be welcomed company for our 10-year-old Siberian Husky at home. What ensued next was life with a 6-month-old baby, a 2-year-old boy, a grumpy old arthritic dog who never learned to love this new addition before he passed, and, of course, an out-of-control puppy. Ahhh…good times!
