I just published a children’s book about bees and honey, and now I seem to stumble on bee facts every day. Just this week I discovered that there is a whole category of solitary bees that lay eggs outside a hive. They don’t make honey, but they do pollinate crops. That knocked me out—I had no idea solitary bees existed.
