Every Friday we feature one of the garments from the magazine in a post about styling. We suggest different ways to wear the garment in question using mock-ups from Polyvore. We encourage readers to tell us what they think about these outfits via our Facebook page or Twitter, and if folks want to make their own outfits, please tweet them at us with the hashtag #twiststyle. You can find all of the Style Friday posts here.

Happy Friday Twistfans! I am extremely happy at the moment, because my sweet friend Ryan (who happens to be a super talented artist, author, and public speaker) is putting me up while the Toronto heatwave is turning my beautiful apartment into an uninhabitable oven.

Later this weekend the heat will break, and I'll be able to touch wool again. I can't wait. Given the heat, it's no coincidence that the garment I chose to style for today is just a little slip of a thing. She's the foam on your macchiato, the whipped cream on your sundae.

Meet Trifle.

She's just the thing when you're feeling romantic, and want to be the girliest girl. Have a gander at some sweet outfits with ladylike dresses.

You could also have Trifle's sweetness offer a counterpoint to something with a bit of a harder edge. The outfit in the middle was inspired by Tilda Swinton, and the two on the outside were heavily influenced by dreamboat and style icon Beth Ditto. Since I was thinking of celebrities, who are magically immune to the pain of wearing excruciating shoes, I may have gone a little overboard on the footwear. Summertime is for dreaming, okay??

How will you wear Trifle?
