Every Friday we feature one of the garments from the magazine in a post about styling. We suggest different ways to wear the garment in question using mock-ups from Polyvore. We encourage readers to tell us what they think about these outfits via our Facebook page or Twitter, and if folks want to make their own outfits, please tweet them at us with the hashtag #twiststyle. You can find all of the Style Friday posts here.
Happy Friday humans!
I'm a bit of a jet lagged mess these days, but I am not remotely sorry, because last week I was using all my crush-energy falling in love with Vancouver. I sort of haven't shut up about it since I got home. One tragicomic twist on my trip; the day I was packing and leaving, I discovered that my raincoat was missing, and so I went without it. I learned in a really concrete way that what they say about wool is true; wool keeps you warm even when it is wet! This is pretty magical, and my feet were especially grateful for the benefits of this knowledge.
It is a city for layering, and so a wool cardigan is basically the most important thing to have (okay, maybe a raincoat ranks *slightly* higher). This one is pretty dreamy.
If you like playing with color, this is the project for you. Meghan Jones wrote a post with lots of ideas for color schemes, but the palette is yours to play with, knitters.
If you're someone like me, who likes to match and coordinate things to a degree that is probably unreasonable, Besom is an amazing player in an outfit because it introduces four colors and stripes and dots. This is fun. Pull out the darkest tone, or the brightest one, or play with other spotted or striped thing.
How will you wear Besom?
