Every Friday we feature one of the garments from the magazine in a post about styling. We suggest different ways to wear the garment in question using mock-ups from Polyvore. We encourage readers to tell us what they think about these outfits via our Facebook page or Twitter, and if folks want to make their own outfits, please tweet them at us with the hashtag #twiststyle. You can find all of the Style Friday posts here.
Happy Friday folks!
Since switching over to mostly being a freelance human (sometimes I think of it as free-range, and imagine myself as a happy chicken), the days of the week have lost most of their traditionally associated meaning, but this week, Friday is actually part of my weekend!
I am writing to you from the apartment of one of my nearests and dearests in Montreal, and soon will head to consult on a peer education project I helped create a dozen years ago (yup, I have been a cranky upstart at least that long), and then I will have some time to chill out. Also tonight I get to welcome a friend who is moving here, and incidentally into the apartment next door to where I'm staying.
Speaking of chill, it is pretty darn cold here in la belle province. Kinda makes me wish I had a Bushel.
Have you ever seen something so cozy? You just wanna snuggle it, at least I do.
Can we talk about that texture? Squishy! Delicious! Nevermind how fast you can probably churn out a sweater knit on 9mm needles.
Because of this thing's delightful, blankety nature, probably my preferred way of wearing it would be with wool socks and not much else, ideally paired with a great book and a big steamy mug of coffee. But I bet you could take Bushel out on the town, if you paired her with stuff that was a little bit sharp, a little bit clean of line (and if you're anything like me, a little bit 90s).
How will you wear Bushel?
