Every Friday we feature one of the garments from the magazine in a post about styling. We suggest different ways to wear the garment in question using mock-ups from Polyvore. We encourage readers to tell us what they think about these outfits via our Facebook page or Twitter, and if folks want to make their own outfits, please tweet them at us with the hashtag #twiststyle. You can find all of the Style Friday posts here.

Hello humans! Friday has arrived! I am sitting with my friends Claire and AK (who tangentially, under my tutelage, is becoming an excellent knitter) and their two elderly beagles, sipping tea while soup simmers on the stove. What I'm saying is, life is pretty nice.

I walked here while there was still a morning chill in the air, but I did not have to wear a jacket. The weather here has been a bit weird and erratic, but right now it's like October out there and I'm pretty happy about it.

The things that most simply facilitate jacketlessness, even before it's truly warm are scarves and shawls! Knitters, you know this well. Today we are looking at a lovely one- Spinner!

Spinner is worked like a crescent, but the finished shape isn't too far from a rectangle. I'm thinking of it as a crestangle. I understand if you aren't as excited about portmanteau as I am, but probably you are excited about this real pretty object, right? There are (optional) beads.

Maybe it's the shimmer of the beads, or the deep rich color; I wanted to pair Spinner with some high drama pieces. I chose bold patterns, unusual shapes, and fancy shoes.

How will you wear Spinner?
