Every Friday we feature one of the garments from the magazine in a post about styling. We suggest different ways to wear the garment in question using mock-ups from Polyvore. We encourage readers to tell us what they think about these outfits via our Facebook page or Twitter, and if folks want to make their own outfits, please tweet them at us with the hashtag #twiststyle. You can find all of the Style Friday posts here.
Happy Friday, fashion fans! As you read this, I'm making sure my headlamp has batteries and my bugspray has bugspray. I'm heading to my favourite place to spend the next week with the best kids in the universe and have one million feelings. I'm bringing all my wool socks, and a couple of knit sweaters too. I hope when I come home they all smell like woodsmoke and are infused with a little glitter.
I do wish I had a densely cabled, hooded sweater to bring along like this one.
Gwendolyn is one of the dozen sweaters we reimagined with new yarns for our most recent issue (and parcelled as an e-book for a sweet discount!). It also gave us a chance to show you Gwendolyn as a cardigan, versus her original pullover form from Fall 2010. You get both versions when you but the pattern, so pick your sweater poison and get knitting!!
I'm into this sweater as a mostly-neutral, but with a pop of another colour. You can make it without the accent, of course, but I think you should keep that sweet little detail. It also made me want to bring *more colors* into the equation, because more is more, right? More is definitely more.
How will you wear Gwendolyn?
