Every Friday we feature one of the garments from the magazine in a post about styling. We suggest different ways to wear the garment in question using mock-ups from Polyvore. We encourage readers to tell us what they think about these outfits via our Facebook page or Twitter, and if folks want to make their own outfits, please tweet them at us with the hashtag #twiststyle. You can find all of the Style Friday posts here.
Pull out the woolies everyone! The chilly weather has arrived. I'm heading to an even cooler place this weekend, and I'm bringing a lot of warm things and wool things with me. I may also be bringing several bags of giant glitter, because performance art is weird and great.
This sweater isn't particularly weird, but it is great.
I like the big, graphic cables, especially the way they trail up the shoulders.
Even with so much intricate cable work, on 5mm needles and this lofty tweed yarn, this could be a pretty quick knit. You could be wearing Wickford very soon. Don't you want to? The cables reminded me a little of plaid, another pattern that can look super different (but always awesome) if you mess with it's scale. For example, check out my teeny-tiny plaid manicure.
Or you could look at these outfits, featuring plaids of varying sizes. It's a little bit punk, and a little bit librarian (by which I mean it's perfect).
How will you wear Wickford?
