Every Friday we feature one of the garments from the magazine in a post about styling. We suggest different ways to wear the garment in question using mock-ups from Polyvore. We encourage readers to tell us what they think about these outfits via our Facebook page or Twitter, and if folks want to make their own outfits, please tweet them at us with the hashtag #twiststyle. You can find all of the Style Friday posts here.

It's Friday again! I hope you had a good week! Mine was full of baseball, mostly, but now the World Series is over and my life is mostly purposeless. I also helped a friend move, and discovered that they not only own a ball-winder and a (really stunning) umbrella swift, but also have more yarn than I do. I couldn't tell if I was jealous, or just impressed.

Today we are talking about Allegheny. Meow.

This densely cabled beauty is just what the doctor ordered for this time of year. She's snuggly and cozy, but not too heavy or long. The recommended yarn is mostly wool, with a little silk and just a slip of cashmere, also known as exactly what you want to envelop yourself in on a chilly day. It also comes in some stunning colours, Marakesh and Spain are the two that jump out at me, but as you can see, Allegheny is gorgeous in a neutral tone as well.

The multidirectional cables really do it for me, and I love the angled fronts. Since this piece is warm and dense, it can take some of your more summery clothes into the cooler weather as a layering piece. Hold onto summer just a little longer (without freezing your butt off) with open toed shoes, a swingy dress, or cropped jeans.

How will you wear Allegheny
