Lots of folks talk about process versus product knitters. I fall into both categories, depending on my mood, the project, and who it's intended for. Midtown pulls on both kinds of heartstrings for me. There is a steek, some simple (but challenging for me, a colorwork scaredy-cat) stranding work, and a sewn zipper; so many opportunities to learn new skills!! And then at the end, you have this skirt that's just the cutest.
I mean, come on. Midtown is so pretty. Also sweater-skirts are the cozy-warmest and look so great on butts of all shapes and sizes.
The possible color combos are literally endless, but I think you should choose one neutral and one really rich deep color, like plum or merlot or petrol.
