This shawl begins at the center back, with a circular cast-on, and is worked in the round to form the center square. Stitches from the top side of the square are worked flat to the bind-off edge for one long side. After completing the first long side, a garter stitch edging is worked along each side edge of the center square, then these edgings are worked along with the bottom side of the square to form the second long side. The lace patterns are presented in chart form only.
